The new assistant Coach at the Westtown School joins Ball Beyond as Director of Player Development. West a 12-year professional basketball player and 1989 graduate of Villanova University, brings years of playing and coaching experience to the program.

West was reunited with his Alma Mater in 2007 when he became an assistant coach for the Villanova men’s basketball team that made its run at the 2009 National Championship. For five years, he helped oversee individual player development, workouts and assisted in the execution of daily team practices.

West left Villanova to take an assistant coaching position with the Houston Rockets NBADL team and was part of the Championship team that was coached by Toronto Raptors Head Coach Nick Nurse.

West returned to his hometown, in 2014, where he started Doug West Basketball, and also became the Head Men's Basketball coach at Penn State Altoona.
